Poetry workshops to unlock your creative potential

Find your inner voice

Most of us never give ourselves permission to truly express who we are. We fear judgement, we don’t believe our own ability; “that’s for others.”

I am here to dispel that myth.

Join me as I use poetry to demonstrate the power of words, take you on my personal journey of self-discovery, and create a space where you not only feel safe to express yourself, you will want to.

The Workshops

For Companies

Your clients expect you to fully understand their stories to properly tell them. But how can we hope to do that without knowing how to express ourselves?

My poetry workshops are perfect for any business that thinks of themselves as creative, articulate, driven.

Particularly popular with corporate companies who see themselves, their staff, and their clients, differently.

Give back to your staff and see the difference in their output.

Summer Parties. Training. Away Days. Online or in-person.

For Individuals

In an ever-prevalent age of AI, personal expression is more important than ever.

Join other individuals who like you, want to get lost in poetry, to feel inspired, and to have space to explore who they are with zero pressure, expectation or need to be anything other than yourself as you are, right now.

I never saw myself as a poet. I now know how wrong I was.

If you’ve a feeling there’s more to life… now is the time to invest in yourself.

Online. Small group.

For Retreats

Partner with me as I create safe spaces for curious minds to rework their inner narrative.

Part inspiration sessions, part self-discovery, switch off and get lost in language before diving into the power of creativity and expression.

My workshops are the perfect accompaniment to any retreat that focuses on exploration of the inner-self and unleashing creativity.

They can be tailored to perfectly fit the tone of your retreat, to feel like they were a logical element all along.

Create. Explore. Breathe. Live.

Have an idea for a partnership but not sure you fit any of these categories? Get in touch and let me craft something for you.

“Frances ran a poetry workshop for our members at Bloom and it was incredible.

She shared her passion for prose in its many forms which was totally infectious. She made poetry feel accessible and open to all.

I’d thoroughly recommend her workshop.”

  • “I loved the poetry session yesterday. Creativity has the power to engage & connect and the session certainly did that. I think there’s something to be said about the role of creativity in our day to day lives, the importance of creativity in the workplace. Creativity isn’t just for creatives. Your work resonated on so many levels. Your poetry is truly beautiful to read and to hear (delivery is just as important as the writing).”

—Jay Hepburn - Senior Account Director, Cowan

  • "You led the session beautifully. Feeling genuinely inspired to write some poetry again - just found a load I wrote when on mat leave. Must pick up the old poetry quill again..."

—Lottie Marriner - Creative Director, bandstand

  • "Frances made poetry feel accessible and open to all. She shared some of her work which was wonderful and inspiring. So much so that by the time it came our turn to write our own poems, our members felt comfortable to throw themselves into the challenge writing a combination of poignant, vulnerable, amusing, beautiful pieces. It was bonding, joyous and cathartic. The whole group felt really proud at the end. Frances led the group with care and empathy. She was really engaging and empowered us all to tune into our creative side. I’d thoroughly recommend her workshop.”

  • “I had a great time at the workshop, it was very inspiring, thanks for sharing. The poems and writings shared really resonated with me, not only because I'm curious about exploring poetry as a form of self-expression, but also because it could be a creative medium that could help with improving writing skills like summarising ideas in a concise way, and it's also fun! I'll definitely explore writing poetry in Spanish”

    —Patricia Puertas - Media Specialist

  • “Frances ran a Winter Wellness poetry workshop for Bloom UK members. We listened to her reading her beautiful work, and she taught us about following our instincts, trusting in what emerged from our hearts and minds through our pen, and that anything is a start. My poem deals with a time I was signed off work after a miscarriage. I shouldn't say 'after'. Miscarriages are rarely quick, they go on for weeks. I'd treated myself to a hair cut in an effort to leave the house, I felt panicked and unsafe, and then more 'miscarriage' came. I've always felt traumatised by this experience but Frances helped me express it and process it in a way I've never been able to before.”

—Jennifer Elworthy - Career and Fertility Coach, and Director of Fertility Matters

  • “Thank you so much for a wonderful session. The emotions were great and helped fuel the creativity.”

—Brandi Stevens - Head of Clients, Smithfield Agency

Meet the Founder

Hello, I’m Frances.

By day, I run Frances Jenkins Ltd - a consultancy helping businesses solve problems.

I have worked with everyone from Diageo to Visa to The Female Lead, running huge teams, delivering multi-million-pound global projects, and helping girls think outside the box when it comes to their future career.

By night, I write.

I discovered my love of writing two years ago when I started writing poetry as a cathartic exercise and I haven’t looked back. Writing has fundamentally changed how I view myself, my place in the world, and what I stand for. I set-up Poems With Bite as a creative outlet and to bring a little spice to the world of poetry. Roar at the World is a natural extension of this, helping others find their voice.
